The Fund pays for most of your health care, but you also pay for a portion of costs.
Copayment, copay, or coinsurance:
This is the amount you pay every time you use the service. An example is the doctor office visit – each time you go to the doctor, you pay the visit copayment.
Deductible:
For some types of care (such as a stay in the hospital), you must pay a certain amount each year before the Fund begins providing benefits. This cost every year is called the deductible. Deductibles are only required for some services. Click here for some basic copays/deductible list.
