Your eligibility is affected by how your employer reports your hours. Please remember these points:
It is your responsibility to know how many hours you work. You should call the Fund Customer Service to check your eligibility or click here to check it on our website.
If you change to another Culinary job or property, your hours get reported as soon as you start.
If there is a gap in your work, you can self-pay for the hours you are short for eligibility.
If you change jobs and go to work for an employer who is not required to make contributions to the Fund, you may not self-pay after the two-month period in which you accepted other work.
If you went on vacation or medical leave of absence, please check with your employer to make sure your hours have been reported to the Fund. If you are short of the
240 work hours, you may receive a self-pay notice.
If you think that your hours from your vacation or medical leave of absence were not reported by your employer, contact Customer Service. Customer Service will contact your employer and investigate.
Employers use different schedules to report work hours to the Fund. Some employers count hours to the Fund. Some employers count hours until the middle of the month, others may go until the end of the month. Check with your employer to find out their reporting schedule, so you know your hours are counted.
