Encompass is the utilization/case management provider for the Fund. They conduct prior authorizations, concurrent and retrospective reviews, in addition to performing Case Management activities. You may call the 24-hour Encompass authorization number - 1-800-848-7207 - or you may use the online form at www.ENCOMPASSonline.com to initiate a review. A staff person will record all of the demographics of the case, and if all medical information is available, the information is given to a nurse for review. The nurse will review within one business day provided it’s determined all necessary medical information is available for review.:
