Pesto sauce recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 bunch of fresh basil
  • 2 cloves of chopped garlic
  • ¼ cup of pine nuts
  • ¼ cup of grated parmesan cheese
  • 1½ ounce (oz) of olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Clean and dry the basil.
  2. Place the basil, garlic, pine nuts, and cheese in a blender or food processor and blend for 1-2 minutes.
  3. Scrape down the sides of the blender or food processor.
  4. Start the machine again and slowly add the oil to form a smooth paste.
  5. Season with salt and pepper.
