Kidney Smart class

It’s important for your employees to take good care of their kidneys. Their kidneys clean out their blood and get extra water and waste out of their body by making urine. There are many things that can hurt their kidneys.
Your employees should take our Kidney Smart class:
- if they have diabetes or pre-diabetes.
- if they have high blood pressure.
- if they have high cholesterol.
- if they have kidney disease.
- if they take a lot of medicines.
These things put their kidneys at risk.
In class they’ll learn:
- How their kidneys work
- What causes kidney disease
- How their diet, medicine and habits affect their kidneys
- What treatments there are for kidney disease
Your employees can also learn more ways to take care of their kidneys on the DaVita website.
In this class, we give out:
- A fruit infusion water bottle
This class is offered:
- In English or Spanish
- In the morning, afternoon, or at night
- At no cost for your employees. This means they don’t have to pay.
