Pizza dough recipe
Ingredients
- 1 ½ teaspoons (tsp) of salt
- 6 cups of all purpose flour
- 1 pound (lb) of warm water
- ½ tablespoon (tbsp) + 1 teaspoon (tsp) of active dry yeast
- 1 ½ tablespoons (tbsp) of granulated sugar
- ½ cup of olive oil
Directions
- Place the salt in the bottom of a mixing bowl.
- Add the flour.
- In a second bowl, mix the water, yeast, and sugar.
- Mix the oil into the second bowl.
- Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients.
- Mix for 7 to 10 minutes on low speed until smooth and elastic.
- If you can stretch the dough and see light through it without the dough breaking, it’s ready. If not, mix a little longer.
- Divide the dough into pieces weighing 8 ounces (oz) each.
- Wrap each piece and freeze.
- When you’re ready to use, thaw out a piece of dough and roll it out to the thickness you like.
