Low-carb barbecue sauce recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 ounce (oz) of vegetable oil
  • 8 ounces (oz) of onions, diced small
  • 1 ounce (oz) of chopped garlic
  • 10 ounces (oz) of ketchup
  • 8 ounces (oz) of no salt beef stock
  • 6 ounces (oz) of red wine vinegar
  • 3 ounces (oz) of sugar substitute
  • 1 ounce (oz) of dry mustard
  • 2 tablespoons (tbsp) of Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Cayenne pepper, to taste

Directions

  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add the onions and garlic and turn the heat down to low.
  3. Cook the onions and garlic until tender, stirring often.
  4. When the onions start to turn clear, add the rest of the ingredients.
  5. Simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Your measuring spoon set may have tbsp, TBS, T, TB, or Tbl on it. They all mean tablespoon.
